Sewer & Water Line Repair and Replacement
Emergency sewer and water line dig-outs, repairs, and full replacements.
A broken sewer or water line is not something that can wait. We respond fast, dig it out clean, and get your service back so you have running water and working drains again. We handle the excavation, backfill, and grade restoration, and we coordinate the connection so the whole job gets done right.
Your sewer line may be Orangeburg pipe
A huge number of post-war homes in New Jersey were plumbed with Orangeburg, a wood pulp and coal tar pipe that was marketed as a 50 year product and often starts failing at 30. If your drains keep backing up and the house dates to the 1940s through early 1970s, that is the first thing we check. Lining usually is not an option once the pipe deforms, so the fix is replacement, and that is exactly the work we do every week.
How we do it
When you call with a failed line, we start with the fastest honest diagnosis: where it broke, why, and what it takes to fix it for good. On dig day we protect the work area, excavate down to the line, and expose enough of it to see the real condition instead of guessing.
The new line goes in on proper bedding at the right pitch, gets inspected, and gets backfilled in compacted lifts. Before we leave, the grade is restored and raked out. If it happened at 2 a.m., we have done that too, and the process is the same, just faster.

Sewer & Water Lines: what people ask us
How long does a sewer or water line replacement take?
Most residential service lines are a one to two day job: dig out, replace, inspect, backfill, and rough grade. Emergencies move faster, and we answer around the clock for those.
What does a sewer line replacement cost?
It depends on length, depth, access, and what surface is above the line, which is why we quote from an on-site look instead of guessing over the phone. Estimates are free and we honor our quotes.
Will the town need to be involved?
Usually yes. Sewer and water work typically requires a permit and inspection, and sometimes coordination with the utility authority. We handle that paperwork and scheduling as part of the job.
